Email Campaign Manager
The email campaign manager provides you with a complete email marketing solution, from data base list generation and segmentation to planned email and e-newsletter events.

Quick tutorial.
The following instructions show you how to set up a test email and familiarise yourself with the Email Campign System.
1. Create a test mailing list.
Click Lists link
Enter "Test List" into Name and description and click add.
2. Add a recipient
Click Recipients link
Enter your email address and select the Test list and click save
Repeat for any other test emails.
3. Create a template
Click Templates link
Enter "Test Template" into Name and description and click add.
Click Edit to adjust the template.
Enter "This is a test" into the template Text and HTML fields.
(If you like you can experiment with creating a html template with tables and images)
Click Save
4. Sending your email
Click Events link
Enter a code (can be anything for your reference) and Name for the email send.
Click Add
Fill out the fields
Reply To: (the email address you want users to respond to)
Subject : (the email subject field)
Apply Template: (select an exiting template to prepopulate the text and html copy)
Text Copy: (the text version of the email)
HTML Copy: (The HTML version of the email)
Send To: (select your target email list, press ctrl for multiple lists) In this case select the test list
Click Save
Click Send and OK
Your email has now been submitted for sending and will be delivered soon.
Searching for recipients.
Click the
Search link to quickly find a email address and manage it's list memberships.
Also you can create a new mailing list from the search results by entering a name in create new list and clicking
save.
Sending an email event.
To send an email click the
events link and create a new event by giving it a code (your reference), name and description(optional) and click
add.
Now you can configure the email fields
- Reply-to (email address that email replys will be sent to)
- Subject (email subject)
- Apply template (select a template to prepopulate the text copy and html copy)
- Text Copy (a text version of the email content for old email clients)
- HTML Copy (a html version of the email content for modern email clients)
- Send to (select the email lists to target )
The click Save to store the email information. Once saved you can leave and return to the same event by selecting the
Events link and clicking the
Edit button.
If you are now ready click
Send to queue the emails for delivery.
Managing you email recipients.
To view and navigate your recipients database click the
recipients link.
Click the
remove button to delete a recipient from your database.
Click the
Edit button to manage a recipients list membership.
Managing your email lists.
To manage your mailing lists click the
lists link.
To add a new list enter the list name and description and click
add.
To edit a list click the
edit button then click the
remove button to remove members from the list.
You can Export the details of a mailing list into a excel readable (csv) file by clicking the
export button and saving the file.(Depending on your browser configuration the file may automatically open in excel)
You can import members into a mailing list by uploading a csv file of the same format at the export file.
Using templates to simplify email creation.
To simplify the creation of new emails you can create content templates that can store email text and layouts which can then be loaded into your email before sending.
To create a template click the
templates link and enter a name for your template and click
add .
Now you can add content to the Text and HTML fields that can be used as a template for the emails you will send.
For example you may want to create a Weekly news template with the layout and sections in the template and then when you are ready to send your email you simply apply the template and update the content with this weeks announcments.
Exporting your email database.
To export a csv (excel readable) file of all your stored email address click the
Export link.
Depending on your browser configuration the file may automatically open in excel.
How users subscribe and unsubscribe from your list?
When you have the
Email Campaign or
Newsletters modules installed a newsletter subscription box will be added to your sites homepage.
Users can enter their email address and subscribe or unsubscribe from your mailing list.
With the Email Campaign tool users are added to the Default mailing list when the subscribe and when they unsubscribe they are removed from all list memberships.
Checking your available email credits.

Click on the Newsletter module to see your currently available credits.If you are low on email credits you can purchase more allocations of email credits via the BluBeez website. Simply log on and select view/modify site for the site you wish to add credits to and select the Email credit addon.
